First Century Christianity and Islam

This website owes its beginnings to a Muslim who contacted us who had many misunderstandings about what Christians actually believed. We wanted to produce a resource for Muslims and Christians for the purpose of eliminating these misconceptions and to lay a foundation for better understanding. Many of the misconceptions have arisen because of the fact that the Christian church has diverted from its original simplicity and incorporated theological definitions that never existed in the First Century. We want to go back to the beginning and explain the Christian faith from a first century perspective without the embellishments that have contributed to so much confusion.
Many Christians make the mistake of telling Muslims that they do not worship the same God as we do. The sons of Islam originally are descendents of Abraham and they view Abraham's God as their own. If a Christian and a Muslim were looking at a mountain together, and the Christian says, "I believe in the God that made that mountain." And the Muslim answers him saying, "I also believe in the God that made that mountain;" then we both believe in the same God, we just believe different things about Him. And that's what this website is all about, understanding and reconciling those differences so that the divisions and misunderstandings between us can be eliminated and we can sit beneath the shadow of that glorious mountain as friends.
